Veiðivika veiðinördsins / Fishing week for the fishing geek

Fór að veiða aftur í dag í Þingvallavatni.  Fór líka á sunnudaginn ;0).  Ákvað að ljúka fríinu með stæl og veiða og veiða þar sem að Hulda er búin með fríið sitt og er farin að vinna og Ástrós farin á Leikskólann.  hmm I have some time to burn.  Kom með 3 bleikjur heim á sunnudaginn um 1 1/2 pund.  Það gekk heldur betur í dag í góða veðrinu. Veiddi 10 stk bleikjur.  Hirti bara 5 stk sem að voru um 2 til 2,5 pund.  Sleppti hinum, gaf þeim líf svo að ég geti veitt þá stærri síðar.  Konan mín hún Hulda var voða ánægð um daginn þegar frystikistan var tæmd og fjölskyldunni minni boðið til silunga grillveislu í tilefni af því að Siggi og Magga voru á landinu.  Viti menn kistan er að verða full aftur.  Hulda á eftir að lemja mig með fiskunum í fristinum ef að ég fer ekki að koma þessu út aftur.  Fallegur dagur og góðveiði í fallegri náttúru.  Best í heimi!

Fishing week for the fishing geek

I went fly fishing today in lake Thingvallavatn.  I also went Sunday.  I decided that I would spend the rest of my vacation fishing as often as I can as Hulda has started to work after her summer vacation ended an Ástrós is back to Kindergarten.   Hmmm I have some time to burn.   I wonder what I can do?  Fishing yes !!! I came home with 3 trout Sunday.  They ended in the freezer.  They where a bout 1 1/2 pound each. I had better luck to day as I caught 10 trout ( Artic Char).  I only kept the 5 biggest ones that where from 2 to 2,5 pounds. I released the other ones, they whereat where only one pounders. And of course these trout ended in the freezer.  My wife was so happy the other day when we empty’s our freezer of trout couple of weeks as we had a family fishing barbeque as my brother was back from Switzerland and my sister from Spain ( They live abroad).  Well what do you know I have been a bad boy! All the space that was recovered when the freezer was emptied of trout is about to run out.  The freezer I almost full of trout again.  I hope my wife does not hit me with frozen trout as I have blocked the freezer again.   Well this was a beautiful day in good weather ( as good as it gets in Iceland anyway) and beautiful the nature of Thingvellir.
